A "Qualified Domestic Relations Order," or "QDRO," is a particular type of court order which is needed to divide a tax qualified retirement plan.
A QDRO may be used to divide a participant's benefits under a plan for the purposes of
satisfying an award of marital property, alimony or a child support obligation.
